Charles Brink, JD
Charles R. Brink is Chairman of the Board of Teewinot Life Sciences. In this capacity, Mr. Brink is responsible for corporate management, the development and implementation of Teewinot’s strategic plan, and ultimately Teewinot’s financial performance.
Mr. Brink has over 30 years of experience in the successful organization and operational management of a number of high tech startups. Mr. Brink was a Founder, Member of the Board, Chief Operating Officer and later General Counsel for Mona Vie, Inc. (“Mona Vie”) the fastest growing private company in the food and beverage industry incorporated in 2003. By the time he retired from Mona Vie in 2008, Mona Vie had achieved annual sales in excess of $942 million and had grown over 100% per quarter for a three year period. Mr. Brink was responsible for infrastructure development, corporate administration, vendor relationships, human resource management and operational implementation of the business strategy. As a founder, Chief Executive Officer and/or Chief Operating Officer of several companies, Mr. Brink has been responsible for creating and managing joint ventures throughout Asia, South America and the Middle East. He was a corporate attorney for Automatic Data Processing, Inc. where he had responsibility for merger and acquisition due diligence and corporate-wide management of intellectual property rights. Mr. Brink began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for Bonneville County, Idaho. He is an attorney in the State of Idaho. Mr. Brink received his B.A. degree from Florida Atlantic University, graduating Cum Laude and his JD degree from Gonzaga University, College of Law.
Al Foreman, JD, MBA
Al Foreman has over 18 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, and financial technology. Mr. Foreman is currently a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of Tuatara Capital, and is responsible for Tuatara’s macro investment strategy and for the structuring and execution of investments. Prior to co-founding Tuatara, Al was a Managing Director with Highbridge Principal Strategies, LLC a global alternative investment management business. Before joining Highbridge, Mr. Foreman was a senior investment banker at J.P. Morgan, where he advised private equity firms on leveraged buyouts. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mr. Foreman was a financial technology executive at Vitech Systems Group (Equitrak) and Virtual Growth Inc., and Al started his career at Citigroup as a Management Associate. Al has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut, a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and an MBA from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
Jeffrey M. Korentur
With more than 25 years of experience in positions of leadership in military and private sector roles, Mr. Korentur has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to successfully guide teams and achieve mission priorities.
During his career in the US Army, Mr. Korentur’s interests, aptitudes and capabilities provided the opportunity to serve in a variety of diverse roles. Mr. Korentur performed with distinction as a helicopter pilot, linguist, and counterintelligence special agent through multiple domestic and overseas tours of duty.
After completing military service, Mr. Korentur brought his acquired skills to the private sector by leading and managing teams in the development of terrestrial and space-based security and cryptographic systems for voice and data networks. Specific key roles held were deputy to the Chief Network Security Engineer at the Defense Information Systems Agency and Security Audit Team Lead for a classified satellite network. Immediately prior to joining Teewinot, Mr. Korentur was president of KKAD Holdings, a multiple family office focused on investment and management of its portfolio.
Mr. Korentur volunteers his time with Southeast Honor Flight and the American Association of Caregiving Youth. An avid ice hockey fan, Mr. Korentur is certified by USA Hockey as a level IV coach, and has volunteered countless hours coaching local and traveling hockey teams. Mr. Korentur earned a MS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix during his time in service, and a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany.
Mr. Brink is a founder and serves as a member of the boards of both Teewinot and FSL. Mr. Brink led the discussions resulting in the decision to move FSL’s intellectual property from Colorado to Ireland and establishing its research efforts in Canada. The corporate relocation provided the framework necessary to develop FSL’s technology within a predictable regulatory environment resulting in the enormous value of Teewinot’s control of highly differentiated cannabinoid technologies and manufacturing processes. He is knowledgeable in the areas of the cannabis regulation and emerging cannabinoid market trends.
