Charles Brink, JD
Charles R. Brink is Chairman of the Board of Teewinot Life Sciences. In this capacity, Mr. Brink is responsible for corporate management, the development and implementation of Teewinot’s strategic plan, and ultimately Teewinot’s financial performance.
Mr. Brink has over 30 years of experience in the successful organization and operational management of a number of high tech startups. Mr. Brink was a Founder, Member of the Board, Chief Operating Officer and later General Counsel for Mona Vie, Inc. (“Mona Vie”) the fastest growing private company in the food and beverage industry incorporated in 2003. By the time he retired from Mona Vie in 2008, Mona Vie had achieved annual sales in excess of $942 million and had grown over 100% per quarter for a three year period. Mr. Brink was responsible for infrastructure development, corporate administration, vendor relationships, human resource management and operational implementation of the business strategy. As a founder, Chief Executive Officer and/or Chief Operating Officer of several companies, Mr. Brink has been responsible for creating and managing joint ventures throughout Asia, South America and the Middle East. He was a corporate attorney for Automatic Data Processing, Inc. where he had responsibility for merger and acquisition due diligence and corporate-wide management of intellectual property rights. Mr. Brink began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for Bonneville County, Idaho. He is an attorney in the State of Idaho. Mr. Brink received his B.A. degree from Florida Atlantic University, graduating Cum Laude and his JD degree from Gonzaga University, College of Law.
Al Foreman, JD, MBA
Al Foreman has over 18 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, and financial technology. Mr. Foreman is currently a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of Tuatara Capital, and is responsible for Tuatara’s macro investment strategy and for the structuring and execution of investments. Prior to co-founding Tuatara, Al was a Managing Director with Highbridge Principal Strategies, LLC a global alternative investment management business. Before joining Highbridge, Mr. Foreman was a senior investment banker at J.P. Morgan, where he advised private equity firms on leveraged buyouts. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mr. Foreman was a financial technology executive at Vitech Systems Group (Equitrak) and Virtual Growth Inc., and Al started his career at Citigroup as a Management Associate. Al has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut, a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and an MBA from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
Michael A. Luther Ph.D., MBA
Michael Luther is the Chief Executive Officer of Teewinot Life Sciences. In this capacity, Mr. Luther is responsible for corporate management, the development and implementation of Teewinot’s strategic plan, and ultimately Teewinot’s financial performance.
C-level executive with 30+ years of extensive expertise in building, implementing, and successfully leading biopharmaceutical companies and operations. Experience from leading virtual start-ups to global pharmaceutical companies including roles in R&D, manufacturing, licensing and drug development. Positions range from large global divisions (CROs and bio-pharmaceutical companies) to board of director roles for public and private companies.
Francisco J. Sánchez
Francisco J. Sánchez served as Under Secretary for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce until 2013, a post President Barack Obama nominated him to in 2009. Sánchez has a long and distinguished career in both the public and private sectors. In 2008, he served on the transition team for President – elect Barack Obama. During the Clinton Administration, he served as the Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Sánchez previously served in the White House as a Special Assistant to President Clinton, and Chief of Staff to the Special Envoy to the Americas.
Sánchez is currently the Chairman of CNS Global Advisors, also serves as a Senior Managing Director for Pt Capital.
Sánchez serves on the board of directors for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute.
Sánchez obtained his B.A. and J.D. from Florida State University. He also received a Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Mr. Riiska has over 21 years of financial and Wall Street experience. His areas of professional experience include venture capital/private equity, fundraising, investor relations and alternative investment fund administration. Mark is currently a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Tuatara Capital.
